IMPORTANT Dispensing Fee Drop for October 2019

BY GREG BULL  |  POSTED IN GENERAL NEWS

DONT Forget the dispensing fee for English dispensing doctors dropped dramatically from October 1st 2019.

The drop, according to the DDA Website is an average of 20.9p per item [10.17%] compared with the April 2019 dispensing fee.

I have spoken to a number of Dispensary Managers, GPs and Practice Managers who are concerned at the impact on cash flow once the lower payments kick in with one manager telling me "we do over 10,000 items per month, and this drop is equivalent to about £200 per 1000 items. For us this means a drop in income of £2000 per month..."

So you will need to work harder and smarter to keep your income maximised to cover the six months until April 2020. If you are interested in a Practice Visit to discuss YOUR Profitability, or an Audit to find areas of untapped income, please email greg@dispex.net to find out more
