Is Your Medical Fridge Compliant?

You will be aware of the National Patient Safety Agency’s- Rapid Response Report dated 21st January 2010, which gave NHS organisations that hold vaccines requiring cold storage until 21st July 2010 to ensure they are fully compliant with nationally recognised procedures regarding vaccine storage.

Do you……..

     maintain the correct temperature in your fridge of +2 °C to +8°C ?

     store your vaccines in a medical fridge- NOT a domestic fridge ?

     have an approved alternative fridge in case you experience a power cut or for during defrosting of your main fridge?

     monitor and record daily the temperature inside your fridge ?
