Novartis priority supply procedure There are currently shortages of several medicines from a number of manufacturers in the UK, including Letrozole (Femara®)” To help customers to obtain stock Novartis has established a Patient Priority Supply Procedure for exceptional situations where Novartis medicine cannot be supplied in the first instance from their wholesale partners – AAH and Alliance Healthcare. The Priority Supply Procedure The Patient Priority Supply service helps to ensure that patients receive an essential supply of medication to maintain continuity of treatment. A direct account must be setup with Novartis in order to obtain medicines under the priority patient supply. Medicines will be delivered via DHL and invoicing will be directly from Novartis. To order from the Patient Priority Supply service, practices must fax the patients' anonymised FP10s to Novartis so that they can register the FP10's unique number. Novartis will then send the product directly to your surgery for dispensary to your patient. Novartis have agreed that if you submit all the FP10s for your patients at the beginning of the month, then they will then send a full month’s supply of medicine, so that you have this in stock and do not have to order product each time a patient requests it. This means that there will be no delay to your patient obtaining their medication. This also makes your dispenser’s time more cost effective. The Novartis Patient Priority Supply Line is 08457 419 442 The Fax numbers to send the FP10s are: 01276 698794 08457 419443
